fast cruise, for df, they are fairly quick and painless, really no worse then a duty day.

I said either or. IMO they're one and the same...no matter how you look at it, he's on the ship and not coming home for awhile.

It doesn't matter. I got so used to the 24 hour duty days, fast cruises, and underways that they are pretty much the same to me.

Doesn't really matter. Although fast cruise is over well...fast, and deployment lasts a bit longer. This past year we've gone through severeal work-ups, fast cruise, and now deployment, they're all the same thing.

I moved up here in March of last year. We got married on a Friday, he had to report to the ship that Sunday for a inspection. He wasn't allowed off the ship for a WEEK! That was the longest week of my life. I was staying on base in bachelor housing and it sucked cause the ship was just down the street and around the corner!! Then after that happened he went out for a month in May and then two weeks in June, August, September, October, and then they deployed for six months in November and will not be back till sometime in May. So I got used to being by myself REAL QUICK.. But now I have a daughter to take care of so it should go by a whole lot faster, (I hope)
