The 6th annual Mid-Atlantic Dachshund Phest (http://www.drna.org/wwwDRN/MADP.asp), a celebration of fun, second chances and, of course, dachshunds, will be held October 6, 2007, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Prince William County Fairgrounds, Manassas, Virginia. The phest invites everyone - owners, fun seekers, and dog lovers alike - to attend and enjoy a day at the fairgrounds with the original hot dogs. Don't forget to buy your t-shirts now - they have been created with love and show the custom artwork of Melody of Krafft Pet Portraits.
Our participating vendor list has increased four-fold. Among the events for all who attend include a photographer for seasonal photographs, micro chipping, nail clipping, weiner dog races, a Halloweenie costume parade, bobbing for wieners, an opportunity to have you and your family’s picture taken with Santa Clause, prizes, giveaways, and dachshund items for sale. To accommodate our growing attendees, vendors, and fur friends the MADP will be housed in two, covered pavilions at the Prince William County Fairgrounds.
DRNA is now raising funds by recycling printer cartridges. We will be working with Cash for Critters. PLEASE bring your cartridges and old cell phones in a plastic bag (to keep it from leaking) to MADP or any of our upcoming dachshund fests!
