He has a PT test in 2 weeks, and he says that starting tomorrow he won't have sex with me because it will lower his testosterone levels and he'll do better with higher levels of the chemical in his body..

He says that he masterbated as little as possible when he was in combat, because release of the swimmers lowers the levels of testosterone..

OMG so weird you asked this...

I was reading my medical books last night (I do this when im bored because it intrests me) and I came across an article on *if* testosterone is lowered by sex, and it is def not as per their studies. Theres a DR that wrote the article because coaches dont like the athletes to have sex before a big game, and it was proved to be false.

Hope this helped! Tell him he can still do the deed AND be a man :haha

DH was told not to have sex before he had his 12 mile ruck march, but we did it anyways, and he was fine... He actually finished under the alloted time he was given.

So he thanks me for the sex that got him through it.. lol

Ok heres one article I found...

Fit forever: Sex is excellent exercise, if nothing else. Using all of your muscle groups, it burns up to 300 calories an hour – about the same as running 15 minutes on a treadmill or playing a spirited game of squash.

The pulse rate, in a person aroused, rises from about 70 beats per minute to 150, the same as that of an athlete putting forth maximum effort. "Sex is good exercise and one needs to remember that one round in bed is equivalent to six rounds in a big park," says sexologist Dr Prakash Kothari.

Endorphins released during exercise stimulate special immune-system cells called 'natural killer' cells, which fight diseases. Your blood circulation perks up too, encouraging the release of the waste products that can make you feel sluggish and ill.

British researchers have determined that the equivalent of six Big Macs can be worked off by having sex three times a week for a year! Muscular contractions during intercourse work the pelvis, thighs, buttocks, arms, neck and thorax. Sex also boosts production of testosterone, which leads to stronger bones and muscles.

Glow galore: Serotonins are released during sex, which promote the afterglow of sex. The glow of good sex is real. According to Dr Jim Pfaus, research psychologist at Concordia University in Montreal, serotonins create feelings of satiety, which are evident after a good meal or good sex, bringing relaxation and relieving stress.

Women who have more sex have higher levels of oestrogen, which is essential for healthy and smooth skin. Increase in oestrogen also helps to protect us from heart disease, Alzheimer's and osteoporosis.

Diminished depression: After an orgasm, our muscle tension relaxes and our breathing, pulse rate and blood pressure slow down, leaving us calm yet euphoric. People who enjoy regular sex report calmer, less stressful lives.

Prostoglandin, a hormone found only in semen, may be absorbed in the female genital tract, thus modulating female hormones. The endorphins released during sexual intercourse and orgasm, are naturally calming and may ease mild depression or even work to prevent it.

Pain is past: Sex causes increased production of oxytocin. Before orgasm, oxytocin, which is released from the brain, surges up to five times the normal level, which in turn causes the release of endorphins, our natural pain-killing hormones.

According to Dr Beverly Whipple, sex educator and professor emeritus at Rutgers University, endorphins are part of the reason that stimulating a woman's G-spot, her centre of sexual pleasure, elevates her pain threshold by 40 per cent or over 100 per cent if she has an orgasm.

The area of the brain involved in pain reduction is highly activated during arousal and endorphins are released; endorphins soothe nerve impulses that may be causing menstrual cramps, joint pain or migraines.

It is physically helpful. The threshold of pain also increases after orgasm. So just post-intercourse, one can tolerate more pain than earlier, says Dr Kothari.

Winding down wounds: Yet another benefit of the oxytocin surge in sex. Swedish researchers have found that rats with cuts on their back who received injections of oxytocin healed twice as fast as those who did not.

Immunity booster: Researchers have found higher levels of Immunoglobulin A in individuals who have regular sex. Immunoglobulin A is a type of antibody that helps to protect us from infections. It is normally found in high levels in the mucous membranes of the digestive and respiratory tracts.

Smelling supreme: After sex, production of the hormone prolactin surges. This in turn causes stem cells in the brain to develop new neurons in the brain's olfactory bulb, its smell centre.

Better bladder control: Heard of Kegel exercises? You do them, whether you know it or not, every time you stem your flow of urine. The same set of muscles is worked during sex.

Forever young: An active sex life can aid us in living longer too. According to Dr David Weeks, clinical neuropsychologist at Scotland's Royal Edinburgh Hospital, who conducted a study on a group of 3,500 people – ranging from 18 to 102 – sex actually slows the ageing process

this was on a recent episode of "manswers", there is no proof that having sex before a pt test or foot ball game whatever will lower your risk of doing good. sex is actually good for you, it gets rid of stress, all he needs is a good nights sleep and lots of water.
just jump on him and cover his mouth so he cant say no. hehe

No, mine always says he needs to have lots of sex to get rid of sperm to help him weigh less. :screwy I think he just uses it as an excuse to get more than he normally does.
