Ok, I need info from the kitty peeps plz :) How can such a BIG stinky come from such a lil kitty?? Her box is stinky a day or 2 after I clean it. Should I be scooping daily?? Any tips on GOOD litter that has an odor control?

We use arm & hammer super scoop and love it :yes When I'm not preggo, I just take 3 minutes a day and clean it out - usually at feeding time, it's just a good routine time. DH has the duty though these days and he does it every 3rd or 4th day (he HATES it). Even though he only does it once or twice a week, I don't ever smell it. We also use the Arm & Hammer litter box deoderizer - it's at the commy on the top shelf where the kitty litter is, in a little orange box. Reminds me of carpetfresh :lol

I use tidy cats small spaces. I also use the arm and hammer odor thing becca was talking about. i scoop mine everyday and change it once a week. The only problem i have is that they constantly have litter on the floor:banghead. its annoying so i end up sweeping more than i scoop:)

It's not like it's a fun chore - it ranks right up there with scrubbing toilets. I guess in a way it's the same thing :giggle
I used to have one of those littermaid boxes that scooped the poop automatically after every 'visit'. :giggle They're nice :yes

I use Tidy Cat as well and scoop Bub's litter twice a day, add fresh litter as needed. We use the Tidy Cats litter deodorizer and do a "complete" clean (change litter, bleach box etc.) once a month.

We use the fresh step crystals or tidy cat crystals and the arm & hammer deoderizer. and daily(or twice daily) scoopings. We're getting an automatic scooper.

Definitely scoop daily if you want to cut down on the odor (and do something nice for your kitty). Think of it as the equivelant of your toilet - what would it smell like if you left everything for 1-2 days and then flushed - BLECH!!! I actually clean our boxes (we have multiple kitties so that means multiple boxes) twice a day - more often if I am home and notice someone has paid one of them a "visit". In addition to cutting the stink factor it is more pleasant for the cats to not have to pick around other spots of waste to use the box. They are, by nature, tidy/clean animals and having to walk in their own (or others') waste is not their idea of a good time.

I scoop every other day and use tidy cats scoop crystal blend and don't have any issues
