I was confronted today about a study for women with heavy periods. It can earn between $600-900 and is non hormonal. I will call and ask questions later but need tips on what I should be asking other then side effects. Also, is this something you would do?

I would definitely consider it, it would all depend on the answers to my questions. I would ask the obvious.. side effects, what all is involved, how long it takes, etc.

But, if I was ok with the answers I got.. I sure would.

Yes if there were no side effects, and I had all the information regarding the study.

If it's stage 3, where they're testing on patient groups, sure I'd give it a go. All of the initial testing on animals and healthy humans has been done already so there's little/no worry about adverse effects. Be aware that in stage 3 there are normally 2 groups of patients - one group gets the drug and the other gets the placebo. Normally the patients aren't told which group they're in.

If it dosn't touch my hormones then yes, I would- if I knew the ins and outs of it.

I'd ask ...

What is it if it isn't hormonal?
How long is the study? How long is the affect of the whatever?
Any side affects?
Double check any interactions to anything else you take/do?
Can you take it with your BC or do you have to stop your BC?
Any other limitations for the sake of the study?

That's all I can think of off the top of my head
