Quick OPSEC question:
Is it okay to post a ticker saying when they leave for deployment? Something along the lines of "x days until he sails away" or something like that? Not that I'm looking forward to it, or anything, but I was just curious. :thanks

I'm pretty sure that once the deployment date becomes public information that its ok...but I dont know all the ins and outs of OPSEC unless its the obvious.

No, if he is part of the Submarine Service. I'm not sure what the Surface side does. It is also best to check what the rules for this site are.

No, no tickers counting down to anything deployment related are allowed on here. Once he leaves, you can put a ticker stating how long he has been gone for though! :)
