When is your reimbursement for the 10 days you're allowed in a hotel supposed to come in? We gave them all our receipts, still no reimbursement and it's been about a month. Is it random? Do we need to call if it's not here by the 15th? I hate this bs with reimbursement. They should give you a card that the hotel can just use to charge the military directly. We spent over 1k on hotel stay, and only about 650 is reimbursable.

Check with Finance.. ours took a month and a half to come in, and DH had to have the person at PSD (our finance) resubmit the paperwork 3 times before we finally got our money.

the only time you get hotel reimbursement is when you check out of your current housing and need to stay in a hotel or you check into housing and need to stay in a hotel. for on the drive hotels that is supposed to be covered in the travel they give you. ( i can't remember how much it is, something like 10 days up to 180 a day or something like that. )

We were reimbursed for both nights in the hotel while in transit and 4 nights in the Navy Lodge, his plane ticket from Great Lakes to TX, and food/gas... Our hotel reimbursement was submitted as part of our travel pay (since PSD screwed our Travel Pay and we got less than 1/3 of what we should have before the trip out here)

:shrug I know when I asked dh about it, he said hotels during travel were supposed to come out of the advance they give you. the 10 days is for hotel use when you are not traveling but still in transit. i even made him ask the finance guy.

I've never heard of them reimbursing that, because it's your "option" to have utilities... You know how the military is.

Not sure what she meant, but my in transit meant the trip out here (travel time) being in the Lodge is kinda different, since he was checked into his command.

yes.. if you have to stay in a hotel after you get to your destination.. or before you leave your previous destination. that counts in the 10 day hotel reimbursement. sorry I keep repeating myself today.. it's a disease I can't stop it. :giggle
