Have as little contact with Forest City and the bitch that manages the place.
You are close to the commissary so that would be a plus I guess
Take the Metra downtown sometime, on the weekends it is free for kids and one price all weekend (or atleast it use to be)

Early Welcome to Great Lakes!!!!! We are here til around the middle of 2009. We live out in town so it takes us about 25 minutes to get to that area. How old is your daughter? We have a 6 year old girl, a 2 year old boy, and 4 1/2 month old boy. Brookfield Zoo.........ahhh we want to go so bad. Our timing is always off so we haven't yet. But we have looked online and it looks really really nice. The Metra won't be too far from you either. It is right across the street from the entrance that takes you straight to the medical building. WI. is close by and they have nice places to go. We love to there for our cheese and kringles. Every time we go home I have to go get my mom some kringles (she is danish). The Apple Holler is up there. Best corn bread and apple cider, oh they have a apple cider milkshake that is :drool oh lord I'm craving it now just thinking about it, I have ever had. We just went to WI. to pick some rasperries at a patch and then more than likely this weekend we are going to go to a pumpkin patch. There is a small zoo in Racine. This is the first year you have to pay. Before it was strictly donations so you could give whatever you wanted. There is another zoo in Milwaukee, it really isn't that far from the Racine/Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie area. I'm not sure exactly but from your area I would guess 1-1 1/2 hours. Not bad. It would take about that to get somewhere in Chicago if you drove. Oh, I'm not sure where you're coming from but be prepared for winter since it won't be too far off when you get here. I'm not sure what is going on with our weather right now. Today it is supposed to be in the low to mid 80s. Whatever, though. I'll def. take this over
-20 anyday.
