i know i should call and ask...but does anyone know if pets are allowed in navy housing. or does it just vary in certain areas..

It varies a lot lol.. depends on each individual housing areas.

as far as i know, they usually allow 2 pets (not exotic). more and more places are imposing breed restrictions on certain dogs though.

if you know where you'll be living you might be able to find out more through the militaryonestop page or the website for the company if it's PPV housing.

Each base has it's own "rules" - those that do allow pets often only allow them in certain housing areas (which is important to know so that you get yourself on the right waiting list) and may also have specific regulations as to the type of pets. Your best bet really is to call the housing office of the specific location you will be in and ask them what their policy is.

im all my life of living in Navy Housing (23yrs) Weve never once had an issue with bringing our animals. But at most they allow 2 animals. And now that some places are going frivitized the may have breed restrictions.

So to anwser you question...yes they do...but call you housing office to see about breed restrictions for dogs!

thanks my husband checked and they do allow pets...but he forgot to ask about breed restrictions....
