Silly deployments and no assurance of communication of any sort. DB has been gone for a little over 2 months now and I've gotten some form of communication each day whether it was an IM, email, phone call or just knowing that he checked his email and viewed the e-cards Ive send him. So, after getting into that routine, I'm worried now since I've heard anything from him since Tuesday and he hasn't checked his email or anything. More than anything, it scares me because will I know if something, god for forbid it does, happen to him. I haven't met his family yet, we're not married and his best friend who let me know when he was in the hospital the first time is injured and in a hospital here in the states. I'm new to all of this and dont know what to do, where to go, who to talk to and I'm just making myself sick thinking about it. I just want my DB home...JUNE can't come soon enough....:sigh

I am sorry. You will have to get used to times with no communication. when you hear from him, you will look back on how you are feeling now and feel silly. I do it all the time. There is no answer. Who knows why you haven't heard from him, but don't turn it into the worst possible case in your mind, you will go nuts! He will call soon!

I know what you mean. I'm not married to my db and I'm not close at all to his family. So I wondered if anything happened to him (God Forbid) would they be told and would they tell me?
But I wouldn't worry. While deployed they are really busy and have a lot of things come up last minute - there is no set schedule to their day. I'm sure he's just busy with work or hopefully hanging out with people & having fun (instead of sitting around getting depressed about his situation) I wouldn't worry so much & just think of it as a positive situation.
if you ever need to talk i'm always here :)

Yeah thats pretty typical. DH is on a submarine and I et emails maybe once a week when he goes out for a long time. If that. They do mission sometimes and I cant hear from him for a month :( It is not that your DF is not reading, could be that he is just busy with work :)

I hope you feel better today girl :hi
I understand how you feel. I'm in a similar situation. I haven't heard from DB since Tuesday too, and I don't have an idea of when I will hear from him. Do you have a way to contact his family? I keep communication through e-mail and sometimes by phone with DB's Mom-she's very sweet and caring with me :) and she has told me she will let me know if anything happens-which I hope not!!
Anyway, PM anytime if you need to talk to somebody ;)

Don't worry... I'm sure he's fine. He's probably just been real busy with work. I know that's generally the case for me when DF isn't about to communicate with me. Like you, I'm used to getting some sort of email, IM, letter, or call from him every day and when I don't I worry... I've learned though not to panic until I have to because it only makes me feel worse. Keep your chin up... he'll contact you soon... Have a good night! :)

Thanks everyone! Still no word from DB yet...Staying busy with school, working out, friends and family to pass the time. Trying to stay positive and not let it get the best of me. I'm still new to all of this and still learning all about deployments...they need to come up with cell phones for all of our deployed men to gurantee communication! LOL :yes Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
