Dh didn't make it. :sigh We knew it was a long shot, since he only applied to the CEC option, and only a handful of people get it. This year they accepted 4 sailors for that option.

I have been prepping myself to hear that he didn't get it, since we knew it was a longshot, but it still really sucks big time. :gaah

I called and told him. I didn't want him to hear from anyone else if he didn't know yet, and he didn't. I hate hearing that defeated tone in his voice. I felt so bad saying it, but what are you going to do?

I wish the Navy would recognize how committed he is, and how hard he works for them. :sigh

Has he thought about LDO?Then he can do the degree at his own pace?

Yeah, that's one of the back up plans. He was so determined to get STA-21, and his command really let him down, so I just feel bad for him.

But there are plenty of other ways to move forward, right?
