okay so my husband graduates bootcamp from Great Lakes on November 9th. they told him he gets a "liberty weekend". which would be Friday (9th), Saturday (10th), and Sunday(11th). does this mean that all 3 of those days he can come off base to spend time w/me and the kids?! and does he get to actually sleep at the hotel, off base with us, or would he have to check back into the base every night at 9pm? so confused....

They are dismissed after graduation on Friday to spend that day with you but unless they have special permission, they have to be back every night. He will get Friday evening and all day Saturday & Sunday but his nights will be more than likely be spent on the base. That's how it was with my DH.

i went in february and they had to go back to the base every night because a few years ago someone screwed up so there not allowed to except i think a few people got some special award and were rewarded with overnight liberty...otherwise u can pick them up in the morning and drop them off at night:) its so much fun and ur going when i think its not as cold it was in the negatives when i was there and pretty much one of the most amazing things ive ever experienced ive never been so proud of someone in my life then i was of ym ex:)

He has to be back at night. John has pushed 5 divisions and none have been allowed to stay out at night. I'm sure there are execptions (there always seems to be).

Means, he can be off base. He should know the curfew.
