Hey everyone! I just had this idea pop into my head this afternoon for an awesome thing to put in a care package when DB gets deployed. You know those icepacks that come in first aid kits that don't get cold until you punch them? Well, if I can get my hands on some of them I thought that would be a really nice thing for DB to have after a long hot day of work. He wouldn't have to worry about keeping it frozen or anything. Has anyone else tried this?

I think it would probably work, just put bubble wrap around them because those boxes can get pretty beat up on their way over there. :goodluck I'm sure that would be an awesome thing to send!!!

thanks....good advice! I was worried about it exploding or something on the way over, hence the "questionable" part of the post lol but bubble wrap is an great idea!

:goodluck you could probably fit a bunch of them in a flat rate box and just line it with the large bubble wrap... or wrap them up and slide them in there. It won't cost you and arm and a leg that way because I'm sure those things are heavy!

I asked DB about sending those over to him this summer....he said that their medics have tons of those and they can get them when they want. I don't mean to downplay your idea at all, I had the same one and was disappointed when DB told me that. I'm sure you could still send them and he'd appreciate it!

I'll have to ask DB about that...I never even thought about medical having them....thanks for the advice though! This is the first deployment for both of us so it's great to have all you ladies to help out! :thanks
