I've never made chili before so I don't know how important some ingredients are for the taste, but I only have one can of tomatoes. Will that matter, you think? And it's stewed (I was just going to cut up the bigger chunks of tomatoes), will that also matter? :sigh

it should not matter, rach. I make about a dozen variations of chili and as long as you have some sort of tomato base and chili powder, it'll come out okay. :yes
