My boyfriend graduates on Friday from Army basic and I haven't heard from him in over a week (and it's killing me as I have never gone this long without hearing from him). I'm not going to be able to make his graduation. Will he have a chance to call me before Friday? What about a letter? This is nerve wracking to say the least.

Navy? Army? Marines??...

I know with Navy grad, DH wasn't able to call or anything the last week, he had the battle stations and he was a part of the honor guard so he was doing others grads and stuff. The last week of navy boot camp is super busy. It's possible he might call, but not likely. Sorry!

I have been told that in the last week, they'll be able to call more.

Also, whenever his family day is (assuming someone is going there) he'll have the day off and can always get someone's phone (family or his or whatever) and be able to call you.

He probably isn't writing, b/c by the time it would get to you, he'd be done with training.

Sorry.. My husband hasnt graduated yet. He is getting ready to leave for basic on Tuesday.

I heard from DH plenty the last week, and those in his ocmpany who had never been in trouble got an overnight pass, too. I drove and picked him up!

Depends on where he is at, though...I know Benning, Jackson, Leonard Wood...all do things very differently!!

He's at Fort Knox. I still haven't heard from him and I don't know what to think. There is the part of me that says that he is just busy or can't call or write and then the other part is wondering...well, I won't think like that.

More then Likely you wont hear from him unless its a fast letter he was able to sneak out. The Last week of Basic at Fort Knox they are out in the fields for days on end training. They pretty much spend the nights out there..well they do. My DB when he was at basic in Fort Knox wasnt able to contact me till after his graduation when he got home.

Oh he is defiantly busy hun especially towards there end there is SO much outprocessing they don't have time to write or call. Your almost there keep your head up!

My fiancee finished up BCT at Knox about a month ago. If this is the longest amount of time that you've gone without talking to him, you are lucky! My DF wasn't able to call for over half the time he was there because someone got in trouble! However, if I remember correctly, he did get to call once or twice that last week. But I think it was mainly because he told his Drill Sergeants that he had to make sure he had enough money in his account at home! If anyone is there though for him at Family Day, he will surely call you! There were soldiers left and right with cell phones on their ears that whole day! And if not, then rest assured, he will call you from his AIT school. Mine calls at least once a day! Do you know where he will be going to AIT at?

dh didnt get a single phone call the last week and a half.. i was in a panic because i couldnt plan anything, but everything falls into place as soon as you lay eyes on him!(L)

thats what i was thinking...mydh has been gone almost 2 months and i have talked to him 2 times. i wish i was that lucky.its the same with me almost everytime i get a letter it says well, so and so did this and then someone went awol, and it goes on and on.hope you get to feeling better
