so my air force trainee left for bootcamp on tuesday october 9th, and i still haven't received a letter from him. i heard they can't write during zero week, but i'm getting kind of anxious about hearing from him so i can buy my plane tickets for his graduation - if i wait too long i won't be able to afford them (student w/no job!!). i'm under the impression that AF bootcamp is 8 weeks now? does this include zero week or graduation week? I also have finals from dec 5-12 so if its on the weekend of the 8th... :pout

He's only been gone 2 weeks - I'd say it's pretty normal that you haven't heard from him yet. Give it some more time, I'm sure you'll hear from him soon. As far as graduation, it can change, so be prepared for that if it happens.

Has that actually started yet? I heard something while I was at my DB's graduation about them adding 2 1/2 weeks but didn't hear exactly when they were doing that. It was already 6 1/2 so if they add 2 1/2 more than it will be about 9 weeks not 8. Um, and that is not added with Zero week from what I could tell.

I never heard from my DB until about the 4th week he was gone.

I hope that you will hear from him soon b/c I know that you have to be missing him and I know that you want to be able to see him and with no job it is tough to make sure you can go

From what I can tell, if they have added the extra weeks already, then his graduation should be on Dec. 14th.
