My DB's parents got a typed letter in the mail from him at bootcamp with the dates for graduation... Nov 22-Nov 25th. We were all under the impression that AF bootcamp is now 8.5 weeks. (if graduation is indeed on nov 22nd, that would make it 6 weeks). I probably shouldn't second guess a typed military letter, but ??!?!

hey. if it is shorter, are you complaining, haha. I wouldn't. I have heard that some branches are experimenting with different lengths of initial training so maybe he's a guinea pig.

His graduation at Thanksgiving time - that's what I'm hoping to avoid, but Hope you have fun!

My DB is in the navy, and his was supposed to be 8 weeks...and it turned out to be seven, including P-days. So yeah, it does vary...

Air Force bootcamp is only 6 weeks...or at least it was this summer for a friend of mine. They told him 6 weeks when he left.

Air Force will eventually be adding 2.5 more weeks. For additional time to learn "warfighting skills"

I heard it when I was there. And I read somewhere that it is still awaiting funding. But as of September it's still the regular 6.5 weeks.

At least it is a lot sooner than you thought now. :)
