Well, my boy just got to AIT and called me...turns out he might be there a heck of a lot longer than 14 weeks...'cause one of the guys there said he waited 5 effin weeks before he started classes...and is starting Monday...my boy could be there a REALLY LONG TIME...:duh...eh, what can ya do, right? The good news is that he will be coming home for Christmas...about 5 days-ish...so that's cool...but tomorrow he gets his PO box, and we can send him all of his stuff!!! He gets his phone, thus he can talk to me and his family and friends as soon as he gets it!!!! This will be sooo much easier than BCT...at least I can talk to him...I just pray he does good...one plus tho...longer time till he heads to Iraq, right? I love him so much!(L)

You can check. There is a given report date, start date, and finish date for every AIT. so, if he graduated BCT with a lot of time before the start date, they'd ship them to AIT before hand, but yours might only have a few days.

Yeah my db has been at AIT for a month in the army and just started classes about a week ago. Which sucks cuz ait is already long enough 22 weeks plus the weeks they wait to get them in classes:( but once he is done he will be home and starting college. eh is reserves. Girl AIT is way easier the best ever! Phone calls are awesome. Good Luck

When DB got to A school he waited about a week and a half or 2 weeks before he started. While he was waiting he had to do stuff like clean up trash outside, clean the bathrooms, go to "intro" meetings...mostly busy work. It all depends on how many people they have/how many graduate when. But like you said...longer he is in school, the longer he isn't deployed!
