I put my roast in the crockpot. Cut some carrots and potaoes and put those in there. Then I take a package of lipton onion soup mix and mix it with 2 cups of water and pour over the roast and veggies. Cook on low 8-10 hours or high 6 hourish. I usually cook mine on medium for 6-7 hours and it turns out so tender

I do many meals in the crock pot.

Scallopped Potatoes

need:

Potatoes (I like red ones)
cream of chicken soup, Maybe two
onion
cheese
ham
milk

You cut up the onions and potatoes into small thin slices. Then you layer the crock pot. Potatoes, ham, onion, soup, and cheese. After you layer it a few times, like a lasagna, you poor some milk over the top and let it cook on low for 8 hours.

Yummy and good meal.

I do pot roast in the crock all the time
heres how i do it

Potatoes
onions
carrots
celery
garlic cloves

Rough chop and place over roast

add 2 tbsp of worcestershire sauce salt and pepper to taste ( not to much salt since the worcestshire sauce is salty)
2-4 cups of water enough to cover roast and veggies
cook on low to med heat for 8 - 10 hours

after its done i take about a cup of the liquid out and let cool ( you have to have it cool before you mix in the cornstarch or it will clump) then I mix in 1 tsp of corn starch and reheat
for a thicker gravy
