I thought for sure he wasn't going to call. Then about 20 minutes ago the phone rang. Its 10pm over there and he never calls that late. He said he was at the gym for a while... Now he is gonna try to get on the computer... but I'm not getting my hopes up... The connection sucks there. Especially now that 600 more people are there.
He really didn't say much to me either. He never does. I wish he had something to talk about.

I finally got a call today too. I was so excited because he had wrote me a quick e-mail saying he was gonna try and call, and like you said it was past nine and he never calls that late. YAY to us :D

some conversations do suck while they're delpoyed because there is so much stuff they just can't tell you.. I always get the feeling that he has no idea what's happening in my life and i have no idea what's happening in his.. so what is there to talk about??
the first couple of phone calls that was a challenge but than we just started talking about random things... like things I saw on TV or heard on the news.. and even though he can't really tell me about his day (even though there isnt much to tell) i tell him about mine.

when it comes to these conversations you have to use your imagination!! :)

Yeah I hate the silences on the phone. He's probably not telling you much because he's not allowed to. I always just end up telling db LOTS of detail about my day to take his mind off things. Congrats on the engagement too!
