Ok for my project I have to do two more activities that involve reading or writing. So far all I can think of is doing a crossword or word search but I don't know about it. My age group is k-4th grade. Any suggestions would be great, the book is still 3 billy goats gruff.

it just has to be some type of activity that involves reading or writing, something that could be done with a group or individual child really could be anything as long as its related to the story, my brains a bit fried
sorry, still not quite understanding what you're after :dunno

Have you thought about making a board game?
you could take sentences from the story and eliminate words, have the sentences on sentence strips and the missing words can be on notecards, the child would then have to place the appropriate missing word in each sentence

great idea Ash. Yes I have a board game, its set up where if they land on a bridge spot they have to read and answer a question, one was what is the billy goats names? the answer is gruff
the other things i've done is a taped reading, a homemade puppet, a flannel board, and the game.
they can be any activity as long as it uses reading or writing

How about having different words all mixed up and they have to make sentences with the words with the correct noun and verb tense and punctuation... each one could be on a different card and they could be about the book... I.E. The billy goats were scared when they reached the bridge... or something like that.... and then how they got accross... so it's like a puzzle but reading involved and sort of writing as well!!
