I just went there 6 months ago and wow, it's amazing how big the city has gotten compared to 96 when we lived there ... (96-2001). I swear we were the only Latinos there aside from the Si Casa Flores owners but it's really a beautiful town! Can't wait to go back.. Miss B Hav'n 11-02-2007, 06:46 AM Salem isn't that bad of a place to be stuck - there are a lot of things to do there and it is an easy drive from Portland where there are even more things to do. My mom and sister live in Gervais, my grandma is in Portland and DH's parents are in St Helens (I lived in that area for four years - in fact it's where I met DH) so if you ever need some ideas of things to do let me know.
