I sent letter #1 today.
I am so excited about making the care package.

Yay! That's so excited. My boyfriend just left for Basic & AIT a few days ago so I'm on letter 5 today but I haven't been able to send any because I don't have his address. I'm getting so anxious & excited to send them.

When DH was in trainup, he said there was guys there that NEVER got any mail..... And they were married. :depressed

After he told me that, I bought a grip of pink envelopes, and I would spend time stamping hearts and flowers onto them, making them all pretty and feminine so that mail call would make him feel special (or embarrassed). He always told me how much it meant to get pink envelopes during mail call...

Reminds me of a story Dh told me during his trainup. DS's class would write him letters, and they were all passed around the barracks for everyone to enjoy.. I remember what a couple wrote, I was in the classroom that day...

"Are you stationed at Camp XXXX? My grandpa is buried there."

"I'm glad Hurricaine Katrina missed you while you were in Iraq? (His trainup was in Camp Shelby MI)

"I'm glad you haven't got shot yet"
