So some of you might remember me saying that me and my bf broke up. well we still talk on a regular basis, which I guess is a good thing. Well he called to check on things cause he found out my daughter fractured her arm thursday. ANYWAYS, he was saying that he might get to leave early. he shouldnt be leaving for a few more months but he said they were told he might be able to come home early. Are they allowed to do that? i dont want it to mess anything up with his orders.

I really don't know for 100% sure, but I think it is possible to get sent home early and not have it affect your orders or anything. Jus is different then most situations, cuz alot of guys are getting extended instead. That's cool if they do let him come back early tho!

Is she his daughter? If not, I don't think they will let him come. Good luck though!

I think she was talking about them getting sent home early in general...not because of the little one's fractured arm.

anyway, i really dont know...I know that there are talks of extensions already so I dont THINK so, but maybe. Rumors are rumors tho and unless the command tells him so...I wouldnt count on it.

OOH..I'm an idiot. Could happen(him coming home). I don't ever hold my breath or believe anything til I see him.

I would never even consider early anything from the R-MEE

I know with the Navy the always send a few guys back home early, like maybe a week before everyone else. But I don't know about the other branches. Hope it all works out either way.

Yes, it can happen. Mikey wasn't supposed to come home until the end of December, but they changed his return date (for all of his guys), and they are returning early.

yea its not his daughter, he was just checkin up on us. But he had said they were keeping some guys but because he wasnt part of a "supervisor group" or something to train the new guys coming from my base when they get there, he might get to leave. hes talking like maybe by xmas. which is kinda exciting! lol

The whole thing is pretty confusing to me and as someone said before it's almost better not to assume anything and believe it when you see it. DF's deployment got pushed back a month and then they finally left. He's been in the sandbox for 2 months and they are sending him back on R & R in less than 2 weeks.....he says he hears the rumors of extensions. But on the other hand I hear on the news that they will be withdrawing the troops bit by bit and doing more peace keeping and assisted integration work than head to head combat. I think those decisions would also be based heavily on what their function is over there.

So I dunno....I would be the happiest person if tomorrow the president decided to bring everyone home from all branches. Maybe if I concentrate real hard it will happen....

:pft
