I am kinda worried because he has a horrible pinched nerve and some other back issues. He told me yesterday that he hurt his back when he put all his gear on.
He had been on profile almost two months before he deployed.
It was lifted only a week before he left.
I hope he is gonna be ok and that this doesn't cause long term damage.

Wow....that is some serious stuff. I hope he is o.k. as well. I wonder about that all the time. The govt really is obligated to give them health care into their advanced years because these men basically sacrifice their bodies for their country. I always wonder about things that show up much later on from injuries (minor and major) that come from being in the military.

Once DF told me he was at work and someone dropped a machine gun on his head....even now I am :worried :no

DF is too stubborn to tell anyone he is hurting.

You can recommend over the counter anti inflamatories to him until he can see an MD.Just follow the directions on the bottle and that should "help" somewhat.

Unfortunately, what he carries he probably shouldnt be with a pinched nerve...but the Goverment doesnt give a time out for injuries, unfortunately.

If you have any questions about his back problems lemme know.I can give you "round about" advice since I am familiar with injuries related to the spine but I am no MD.

Has he tried icing it also?

I know hes a boy and he prolly wont listen to any of us...but theres small things he can do to change the impact of injuries to his back. How he gets out of bed,how he sits and stands, how he sleeps, etc.

Lemme know if you have anymore questions.

Tell him to go to the infirmary! And, if he's too stubborn to do so... then tell him that you need him to take care of himself. If he doesn't, then its a DEAL BREAKER!!!!! (not really). If you intend to be in a long term relationship with him, then he needs to be responsible for himself so that he can come home in ONE piece, not broken.

It's not an unfair request, especially since you do care about him. The other alternative is that you nag about it every single day for the rest of his deployment :corny
