long distance relationship you've been through? What is the longest you've went without seeing your SO?

Right now we've been having a LDR for almost 9 months. I haven't seen him in almost 5 months due to deployment. When its all said and done, we'll have a LDR for 3 and a half years. Hopefully we'll see each other at least monthly when he's home.

my longest LDR was probably about 2 years, my SO was at college and i was still in high school...but we probably never went more than 2 weeks without seeing each other (he was two hours away)

my current relationship...wonderful DF...:smitten...haven't seen him in about 4 months, and still love him more than ever! :) we have been together for about 6 months! haha...:giggle

The longest LDR ive had was about 5ish months long with an ex of mine... but the FURTHEST is currently with DB since he is in GA right now and i am in Wisconsin.

its been just over two months since i have seen him... LDRs suck! :(

The longest LDR I have ever had was about 3 years

The only LDR I have ever had is with my now DH when he was on cruise. It was 7 months.

This is my first time ever being in a LDR, seeing as before him...I never even wanted to try one. We have been in a LDR since mid July and the longest I have gone without seeing him so far is...8 weeks now. It will be a little longer till I get to see him, but I am hoping I will be able to in November.

This is my second long distance relationship. My first was with my ex when I was away at school in the US for 2 years and he was back home in Jamaica. We were together for 7 years in all with 2 of that being way. I did go home for summers and winter holidays though so I saw him maybe 2 times each year for the 2 years I was gone.

I have been with DF since early this year and we have had a LDR the whole time. We make due though with me going to see him and spending as much time as we can together.

this is the longest i have ever been away from my dh. its been almost 2 months, before that we were away from each other for 2 days due to his work after a hurricane but we pretty much talked 80% of the day. so this sucks and i dont like it:( and i know its just the beginning!

This is the only ldr i've been in. Its been 12 months so far, and the longest we've not seen each other is 6 months.. which will turn into 12 months because I wont see him until april, and the last time i saw him was april.

we were LDR for about 2 years before we got married.. we only saw each other twice before we got married.

I'd say my longest LDR is with DH right now. It's been 22 months. The longest we went without seeing each other was about 8 months.

My relationship with DH is the longest long distance relationship I have been through. He is roughly 5000 miles away has been since Dec 05 and will be until Dec. 08. We saw each other in April for the wedding for 15 days and saw each other at the beginning of the month when I went to Japan.

I've been with my hubby for like 9 years. When we graduated h.s. he went to college in Maryland and I stayed in WI...3 out of 4 years long distance while in our college years (my junior year I did an exchange program thing and went to school in Maryland). The longest we've ever been apart was probably 3 months.

This is the longest LDR ive been in. Known my DB for 3 years this Jan. Been offically dating for a year. I met him online so our entire relationship as been LDR.. but its totally worth it. Hes the best guy ive ever met and loves me with all he is. So far its been 3 weeks since I last seen him in Person. :(

My longest LDR was with an ex of mine and it was 2yrs and the one im in now with dh, the longest we went w/o seeing each other was a year :(

The longest I have been away from my DH was when we weren't married yet and he was gone for 6 months or so. He was the only relationship I had where it was long distance and that was because of bootcamp. :)

long distance was - from Feb 04-June 05 so a bit over 16 months..when Dh went through bootcamp, A school, and got sent to his permanent duty station while I stayed in VA to finish stuff.
Longest without seeing him would be probably this deployment not sure how long it will end up being.

hmm my first husband was a LDR for a while. We dated briefly and broke up for a while, the night before he went to basic in May (the night of my high school graduation too) We "ran into" each other at a party. Spent the night talking and being together. So sweet, the next morning I took him to the station to leave and he said something along the lines of not wanting to get tied down to Arkansas. So I figured it was over and we would be friends. Well, a few weeks later I get SEVERAL letters from him! Telling me how much in love he was with me, how he couldn't wait to make me his wife. So SO sweet.
Well we were together like that until we got married in December (I saw him for 3 days in November) then he went TDY!!!!! for a month!

So it wasn't until the beginning of February we were together. Soo 9 months or so

Weve been long distance for about9 months now...him being on the west coast me on the east...:sigh

DH and i were long distance for almost 2 years. we started dating and a couple weeks later he got orders to WA. i still had 2 years of college left in CT. we saw each other a few times a year and wracked up insane phone bills. we got married the day after i graduated and have been married for about 7.5 years now :giggle

as far as the longest i've gone without seeing him...about 6 months. i went 4 months with no contact what so ever from him on his last boat though (they didnt' have email and never stopped in port). that sucked monkey butt lol. (he was allowed 10 fifty word family grams from me).

This deployment is the longest we have gone without seeing eachother. So almost 7 months.

We have been off and on long distance for the best part of 3 years.

The longest we have spent together is 9 months and the longest we have spent apart at any one time has been 10.

Longest long distance relationship i've been through is this one. Longest time i've gone without seeing him was ... a little over a year, hasn't changed our relationship at all - you grow stronger from what ive learned. Definitely appreciated him much more each day since he had left.

DB is on the west coast and I'm on the east. In November I think, it will be a year since I've seen him.

DH and I were apart for 6 months when he was in AIT, but I went to visit about every other month for a few days. So I guess without seeing each other at all the longest is probably 2 months.

We were LDR for....3.5 years? yeah, lol, I can't do math. 3.5 years, but the longest I went was 7 months completely unseen, and 15 months where we saw each other a total of 21 days (the 7months apart was in that 15 months..)

mine is with my DH, he has been active duty for just over 8 years, we have been together 10. the longest we have been apart without seeing each other is 8 months on his last cruise. we are starting a 7 month cruise very very soon.

We've been LDR for over a year. Looking at up to a year or two more of the LDR.

Longest without seeing him: 5 months due to deployment. I know, I'm frickin' lucky as hell.

dh and I 5 months on 3 seperate occasions (so 15 months in the total 3 years together)

that is the lingest I have been away from a man in my life.

We've been long distance since May 2004 so 3.5 years right now. We're looking at another year before we can live in the same state. I think the longest we've gone without seeing each other is only about 3 months (we've been lucky!)

DB and I were long distance before he got deployed... so 2 1/2 hours away for about 10 months. I am so excited though, when he gets back, we will be living in the same city!!! :)
