I've been watching these shows on the History Channel for like 2 hours. Some are claiming that Nostradomus is/was the "prophet" and "predicted" so many different events, like 9/11 and the Iraq war, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the attempts at assisination of the Pope, the rise of Hitler, the assassination of JFK, the bombing of Hiroshima etc....and that his prediction of the "end of the world" should be taken seriously.

Some are claiming its all bullshit.

I lean more toward bullshit.

What are ur thoughts?

Personally, Im not worried too much about it. My life could easily end any single day, whether someone predicts it or not. And as a Christian believer, I personally feel like im covered either way :)

I think there's alot to be said for hindsight interpretation. If you take some of the things he said and twist them around enough, you can come up with current (and not so current) events. Vagueness was Nostradamus' friend.

Apprently it is supposed to happen when the Earth and Sun align with the Center of the Universe which happens every 13,000 years so it puts the end of our world around 2012!!! Geez...on 4 more years to live....what should I get done before then :dunno

I think it is interesting how some of his predictions are simiular to what has happened, but as for us all being wiped out in 4 years :suspect :dunno

It seems eerie to me, and it is scarry when you think about it... I didn't go to the link but I might have watched the show a long time ago...doesn't it say in 2012 the world will end or something like that? You can look back over history and look at things people (scientists & whatnot) have predicted and alot of it was just speculation. Personally I think (because of my beliefs) that when the holy land (israel) is destroyed (bombed--blown off the face of the earty--whatever) that the world will end. But that's just me...
