I wanted to ask anyone who's married and lives outside of the US if you can get your tricare benefits anywhere you are in the world or if it only works in certain countries. I will be married but staying in my country (Jamaica W.I.) for the rest of the time that DF is deployed which will be for another year.

We are going to try to get pregnant on our honey moon which is coming up shortly and if we get blessed I will be here finishing school. I wanted to know if I will be able to access the Tricare here if it does happen and if there is anything I would need to know or do to ensure that me and our baby would be getting taken care of.

I'd really appreciate any help as I tried visiting the Tricare site and I never saw much relevant info.

Hmm ....... I know in Germany it was easy enough- but that's cos we were stationed there.

For the most part- I don't worry about Tricare.

I already have medicare & NIB (private health insurance)- for when I'm in Australia, and when I'm travelling other places I get travel insurance..

Thanks ladies. I guess I will just call or wait till I can access a facility that deal with tricare issues and query then. :)
