View Full Version : He proposed again... I wonder why he keeps asking.
Amanda011784 10-29-2007, 12:49 PM i already said yes!
oh well.
So he got online and we talked about what i said earlier (I asked if he really did love me). He apologized for being an asshole (he made me feel bad for asking that, he said I made him feel like shit).
We talked for about twenty minutes. I'm in such a good mood.
That is weird because usually I cry after we talk.
Anyway he is gone to the field for two days. I hope I can make it!
He has spoiled me with calls everyday!
I know this is the last week that will happen. He will soon be in the bad sandbox.
Just wanted to let this out.
Thanks for reading.
petsparkle 10-29-2007, 12:51 PM Hey Amanda,
I hear you. I got a quick email from DH yesterday. What, no call? :(
Maybe he wanted to ask again since he's "turned over a new leaf" and isn't being a jerk and wanted you to remember that proposal. My DH proposed twice too.
kiwijus 10-29-2007, 01:25 PM LOL I ask my DH like every other day if he'll marry me, or if he'd do it again. :) It's SUCH a fun question to ask! Be happy with it though - it's the final, biggest, best declaration of love he can come up with. Anyone can say I love you, but, "Will you wake up and smell my bad breath forever and wash my dirty socks" is FOREVER!! lol
I'm happy for you.
And I'm probably going to propose to my husband when he gets home.
Godders_Girl80 10-29-2007, 03:55 PM The guy just loves you! :lol
Amanda011784 10-30-2007, 05:09 AM He did it again last night...
I'm not sure what he is thinking.
Czechvero 10-30-2007, 09:51 AM try to be strong, it will get better. :) yay for talking to him :)
gss1981 10-30-2007, 09:59 AM He did it again last night...
I'm not sure what he is thinking.
Maybe he wants to be sure that you didn't change your mind?!
marinewife_sd 10-30-2007, 10:00 AM I'm glad you talked to him... maybe he proposed again because he didn't remember he already did it :giggle just kidding
missmowie 10-30-2007, 10:12 PM hmmmm... i don't know why he keeps asking you, but it may be because he's feeling insecure. I'm sure he knows that you've said yes, but perhaps in the back of his mind he wants you to reassure him that you will stick around in the long run.
Maybe you could write him a long mushy letter about how much you love him etc? My DB did the same thing, over a course of 4-5 months. It's toned down a bit, but he will still ask me why I love him so much. Sometimes I tell him that I love him because he's "special ed". We end up laughing..
Your DB probably wants more reassurance and doesn't know how to ask. Being in iraq is tough and you're in a world full of guys. One of the biggest fear is that we (as military girlfriends) will fall in love with someone who is more handsome, smarter, funnier or simply someone else who is HERE and available. DB, on the other hand, is NOT HERE.
Ahh... guys have insecurities too!! So cute!!!

Wow. I never thought about that. I did send him a letter, the whole last page is all mushy gushy get-your-friends-to-make-fun-of-you lovey dovey.
missmowie 10-30-2007, 10:22 PM Actually, it was getting so annoying that I had to make a deal with DB. It was funny that we had to negotiate this. I told him that I love him unconditionally and promised to wait for him until he gets home - no IFs, ANDs or BUTs. It's a done deal. But, I told him that I needed him to believe me and if he didn't... then it would make me feel less secure about the success of a long distance relationship.
He agreed to stop asking me if I would wait/love him ... and I promised to stop whining about how lonely I was. It's been great every since!! :)
