how can the internet work in the sandbox when the phones are down? i don't get it.

GOOD QUESTION! i never understood but kevin figured out how he can still email me even the comm lines are down. he has to use his military email though but damn it was great! we can email alot now

sometimes the "phone is down" because they shut it off, but internet isn't shut off...:dunno

I didn't know that, my DH has internet on his laptop inside of his can. I wonder if his phone line is down can he still email me...hmmm

Also- phone lines are run by AT&T I believe- im not sure if that's an Iraqi company backing them up- but they are not on the same grid.

And when the whole lot is down- it's because there is a comms lock down or something.

If that aint it- then well it's just 2 different companys.
