View Full Version : Pensacola/Milton Crafting Get-Together?
elegant emily 10-29-2007, 11:07 PM I'd really like to host a crafty get-together... I was thinking Sunday November 11th, afternoonish. Would that work for anyone? :pray
Even if you don't consider yourself particularly crafty, you could make some thanksgiving cards or holiday cards for relatives or friends... I have some blank cards and scrapbooking paper and scissors (the kind that make fun edges) you could use.:yes
Otherwise... it's a bring your own craft thing. I'll probably work on some embroidery, and I'll have the ironing board set up in case you need it for stuff. You could bring scrapbooking stuff and photos, embroidery or quilting, cardmaking, sketching, knitting, crocheting, or whatever you do that's portable.:cp
And good food is always in order. I could either make some things and you could bring things, or we could chip in and order a pizza or two. :P
And games? I have apples to apples and taboo, some of my favorites. :D
Sound good to anyone? Will the date work for you? Let me know!:pray
PrincessBlue505 10-30-2007, 11:32 AM That's going to be a busy weekend for me. Sorry!
navycorpsmanwife 10-30-2007, 01:52 PM Sounds like fun, but will have to check my schedule.
elegant emily 10-30-2007, 06:48 PM OK... Please let me know what weekend would work for you! Would the 18th work? Or is a Saturday better for you?
I'd really love to meet some crafty-minded ladies. :)

The weekend of the 10th is the Blue Angel show and my DH is going to be in it. Plus we'll be having end of season stuff.
The weekend of the 18th I'm going to be doing laundry, packing, and getting the house ready for our trip to Disney World at the end of that weekend. Then it's Thanksgiving weekend which I'll still be in Orlando for. The weekend after that we'll be going to get our tree and putting that and the decorations up.
Right now, DH's Jeep has broken brakes, so we're down to one car. So he has my car during the week.
Uh, so far I'm free the weekend of December 8th! lol Sorry it's so far in advance, but this is a busy time of year, I guess.
I don't know about anyone else, but Saturdays do work better for me. During show season, DH works on Sundays. I'm not sure if he'll still have to work Sundays or not after the season ends...So, that's why Saturdays work better for me.
Hopefully some of the other ladies can meet up with u sooner than that.

OK... well I'll keep December 8 weekend in mind then! :) Mark it on your calendar just in case too. I do hope some other people can meet sooner though... but you're right that it's a big weekend. I might be out of luck.
And I think we are going to the show on Saturday. Which number does your husband fly? That is pretty neat!

He's not a pilot. He's maintanence-he does the ground part of the show before take off and after landing. He's usually with #6.
