Ok..DS took the ACT last week. SHOULD he take and SAT as well?

Yes. I suggest it because different colleges require different exams, and even some of the scholarships I applied for wanted scores from both

I would have done that except that I did really good on the ACT and felt no reason to do the SAT as well

most east coast schools require both. i had to take them both to go to college they wanted them both. i learned the midwest favors the ACTs though

:yes That's why I only took the ACT. The colleges I'm applying to only require one and they have told us so many times that you're better off taking the ACT here. Check with the college though.

Depends on the state...if she is going out of state, the SAT is important, AND the ACT is as well, they look at both...in-state, they generally look at Just the ACT...but, coming from a recent taker, she should take both.
