anyway.. do you prefer to have an allotment for your savings? or have it come out of your checking account??

we have an allotment that goes into savings each pay check.

We have it both ways. We have an allotment for one savings (at a different bank than our normal bank) and then we also have money go from our checking into our savings at our normal bank. It doesn't bother me either way.

not saving right now... but i'm gonna do an allotment once things get a little better :nutts

We have a $100 allotment that goes from our navy federal checking account, into our USAA savings account every month.

In all honesty we arent saving at all right now.

we like the allottment, then you just live w/o the money. We also put our bulk savings in the USAA acct so we can't just grab it anytime. There is no Checking acct so we can't use the debit and take from it. It made a world of difference in our being able to save.
