Db is in iraq, going to the board on the 15th. He's sooo nervous about it and making an ass of himself. I just wish i could be there to help him study! He's always had ADD but he stopped taking the meds when he joined the army, and i think he's been fine, but it's still a challenge for him. What can i do to encourage him? Have any of your SO's gone to the board overseas before? I've heard it might not be as difficult... is that true? What were y'all's experiences with the whole thing??

when DH did his board he actually failed cause the guy testing him was a jerk..but the teachers relaized that and let him do it again. so he wasn't nervous the second time. that's all i know about boards. i think that if he studies he will do fine and if he has ADD im sure he can find someone in the same situation as him, or maybe someone that already knows the material and they can just talk about it. Go through the motions ya know... that's what helps me to learn stuff... I can't just sit and study.

good luck

Im not real sure if there would be a difference in the challenge just because he is over there.
I am sure when it all comes down he will do fine. It is normal to be nervous.
Just listen to him and ask him if there is anything you CAN do to help him prepare.
Just love him.
