you know... I said that too. Long story short, but they screwed up my lab paperwork (make sure they spell your name right) and my labor progressed so quickly (5-9cm in 5 hours) that my anesthesiologist didn't get there until I was 9cm and couldn't have an epi! Thankfully he gave me an intrathecal instead (same as epi but it's a one shot deal, like they give you if you're having an emergency C-section). My midwife arrived 15 minutes later, DD was born 19 minutes after that.

So moral of this story- don't wait until you're 5cm to get into the hospital (my contractions weren't as close as they said they wanted before I would go in, but it hurt a lot so I went anyway and was 5cm already). And when they give you the paperwork to sign for your bloodwork and to get the epi, make sure you read it and they spelled your name right! I lost 3 hours when I could have had an epi working for me because they missed one S in my first name. Since we have the same name, it could happen to you too! Just make sure it matches whatever they have in the computer for you.

Anyway, lots of labor vibes for you! I know I read that you've got a tear or something, right? I hope that is sorted out now. Otherwise, I'd be headed to the hospital at any sign of pain or whatever. I had a friend who thought she was peeing a lot, but it turned out it was the amniotic fluid. She went in for her check up and had an u/s and then ended up with an emergency c-section. Not trying to scare you, but if you see yourself doing that, I'd head in for an u/s if nothing else.

I do still feel kinda achy in the crotch but I havent felt anymore contractions lately. I really think it will be sometime this weekend. But knowing my luck she will hold out another damn week!

He is so cute though. All day he was telling me to hurry up and get her out so he can play with her. She is gonna be so spoiled. He is actually looking at slings and stuff so he can wear her.

I dont know how he is gonna handle the labor and delivery. Anytime he sees me in pain he gets all funky feeling. I hope he doesnt pass out!
