So we just back from Breanna's. There were a bunch of squads competing in the pom part. They took all the mascot/bantoms and scored them against each other, then the bantoms, then the featherweights, etc. So we were one of the 3 mascot/bantom squads. The girls did really good. I'm so proud of them. They all had their up with long curly fake hair over their hair and it looked really pretty. They got brand new poms, shoes, socks, and hair ties just for the competition. They all looked really good. They gave all 3 of the mascot/bantom squads 1st place. Breanna is really excited to have a trophy (it is on the entertainment center and has a cheerleader on the top). She is already talking about next year. She has another competition next Sunday as well. Thankfully, John will be with me for that one.
John had school so I had all 3 kids by myself. Well, 2 all the time since Breanna was with her squad 99% of the time. Johnny was driving me nuts. He would not sit still. Thankfully, he is passed out now. I've been up since 4 so I would love to do the same. Too bad Evan is wide awake right now. I think Breanna will be going to sleep soon, too. I got her up at 5.
Oh, I have to tell you ladies this. The very first squad up had girls in wheelchairs and 2 boys that had people helping them to stand and do the movements. The song they did their routine to sang about how they aren't that different just different in a special way. I was tearing up watching them. It was really nice to see. Alot of people gave them standing ovations as they left the floor. They got first place as well.
:cheerSo yay for my girls!!!!!!!! I call them my girls since I'm the team mom. :cheer
