So my bf is currently in Fort Jackson and he graduates Dec.7th. I'd really like to go see him but I have absolutely no information on it! He hasn't told me anything because he probably assumed I wouldn't be able to go, but I'd do anything to go see him! Does anyone know where I can get info, or does is anyone else going to Fort Jackson on the 7th?

well, my dh is in basic at fort benning and he graduates on nov.15th. i actually got a letter from the commander or someone like that, telling me all about family day and graduation -where is was at, what time it started, how long his passes were going to be. but since you are not married his parents might be getting that letter, im not sure. hope you find the info you need

Hy hubby graduates Dec. 7th as well at Fort Jackson. I haven't received anything about graduation yet, but as soon as I do I can get it to you. I don't think I will be able to go to it, since I am saving all the money I can for his flight home for Christmas, but I have no problem making sure you get to see you guy when he grads. As soon as I get the info I will make sure you know :)

My fiance graduated basic in Sep. from Ft. Jackson so I am definitely experienced with this! Haha.

He should be sending you a letter letting you know when his graduation date will be. With that letter will be a brochure telling you about the events that go on for graduation week. They also have a service called Victory Travel that helps you find hotel and airline information that's close by to Ft. Jackson. I booked my hotel through these people and we ended up being only about 5 minutes away from Ft. Jackson! I recommend the La Quinta on Two Notch Rd. That's where I stayed. They were very helpful and the hotel was pretty clean as well as being close by. Plus, there were a lot of restauraunts in the area, a grocery store, and the mall. It was a great spot to stay in.

Also, you may want to know they have Family Day before graduation day. So it's really a two day event kind of thing. That way you get to spend more time with him! If there's ANYTHING else you want to know about Basic Grad in Ft. Jackson let me know! I know pretty much everything. Haha. :giggle
