Hi my name is Liz and I'm 22 years old. My boyfriend is Jesse and he is in the Marine Corps at Twentynine Palms, CA. I'm in Riverside so we are about an hour and a half away. For the most part we are fortunate enough to see eachother on the weekends for now and I realize that I am very fortunate to at least have that much. I'm just looking for some advice on how to cope and not take my frustrations out on him so much due to the circumstances. We've been seeing eachother for 9 months now but have become exclusive over the last 5. Didn't really realize how much more complicated things would get once more emotions got involved! I'm just looking to talk to someone that can help me remember how good things are when we do get time to be together. I dont want to give up on what we have.

Heyyy and welcome to the boards... My boyfriend is also in the Marine Corps and I'm 18. These boards are definitely a good way to realize that you arent alone!!!

Thanks for all the hellos! I'm falling in love with that quote about the Marine Corps being their mistress...I couldn't have said it any better myself really. SO true... in fact the more i think about it the more mad i'm getting. haha. This fiesty irish girl needs to relax before it gets the best of her. ahhh I need a beer.:devil:giggle
