sandykay 11-05-2007, 08:23 AM :weldust I don't really know what to say, my 1st deployment was while we were in a long distance relationship anyway, so it really didn't feel that different to me, but I'm sure you'll find lots of pople on there to talk to.
Kiser'sBabe 11-05-2007, 09:26 AM Welcome to SOS, just keep yourself busy. Thats the best advice I can give you. Hang in there girl.
LaneyBug 11-05-2007, 10:22 AM Welcome! I've done one of those long deployments too. You'll find that the people here really "get it."
Lefty80 11-05-2007, 10:26 AM :weldust This is my 4th deploment. But this one will be the longest one for us. It is hard. I agree keep yourself busy. IM me anytime!
Sarahetaylor 11-05-2007, 10:44 AM I've only been on here for a couple of hours but I'm feeling better already!! None of my friends are in this situation....they say "Ohhh Im so sorry I know how you're feeling, when my boyfriend went home to visit his family for a week I didnt know what to do!!!" Although its nice that they're "there" for me....their boyfriend going home for a week is NOTHING like my boyfriend going to Iraq for 15 months in a war Zone..............so long story short its nice to talk to people who are going through or have gone through the same situation as me. Thank you!!!!!!
