well first off im new here! this is my first post/ thread thing but anyhoo my bf is in boot camp for the navy right now and in going to his graduation in december. i just had some questions about their liberty...

on the RTC website it says that graduation goes till 10:30am so does that mean they have the rest of the day off? when do they have to be back at the base?

I think im confused cause he said that his recruiter told him he would have like a week off before he went to advanced training. but if he has to go right back to the base then how is that possible?

sorry if i put this in the wrong spot :) but i thought it would fit here

thanks!

first of all, welcome to SOS!
Usually, they have liberty until that evening unless they have duty during the day.
Some of the guys have a while before their A school starts. They use that for out processing and traveling to their school. It might be a week off, but he certainly won't spend it all off base.

first off welcome to sos!!

he will have to be back at night, but most likely will have the afternoon with you..

in the army they also get the day before as family day, so he might get that too.. i thought it was all branches, but im really only 100% about the army!

as far as his parents taking him the whole time, dont worry.. my inlaws are crazy.. i thought i would get like 5 min with him, and they totally backed off and let us have our time... it was great!

you have to have him back at a certian time as well...and it's up to the RDC's discretion. He might have to be back at 17:30(5:30), even If the rest of the divisions get to stay out until 20:30(8:30), it doesn't matter. And, he might get duty during the weekend, thus he won't be able to leave base at all, but you can visit him on base. Just an FYI...and make sure he puts your name on his visitor's list for tickets to the graduation. He only gets four tickets total.
