I've done some moving of forums, including creating a few new ones and splitting a few, as well. It will take a little time to get posts moved to their respective forums, but I feel that this will help break things up into a more organized format.

I haven't dealt with deployment in a few years and haven't really dealt with it having kids so I think I've not put enough emphasis on the support side of deployment on this site. It IS the number one reason why people seek support, to begin with. So, I am hoping this helps members have additional outlets for their questions, vents, stories, advice, etc.

Deployment and Separation is now it's own category with forums under it covering:

Boot Camp- (was split from the career progression forum b/c I felt that this is a big enough topic to have it's own forum)
Preparing for and coping with boot camp, usually your first major separation from your loved one.

Deployment Preparation-
Getting prepared emotionally and otherwise for an upcoming deployment.

During Deployment- (covers all basic "during deployment" questions such as communication, care packages, etc)
Support and advice for dealing with deployment and separation.

Military Homecomings-
Advice for everything from what to expect to what to wear!

Kids Coping with Deployment- (anything pertaining to kids and deployments from preparation to helping them get ready for homecoming, how to involve them, behavior issues b/c of deployment, etc)
Help your children cope with deployment by sharing advice and stories with other moms.

PTSD-
A support forum for anyone whose loved one is suffering with PTST or having problems with family reintegration post-deployment.

If you would like to see something added, changed, split, etc please feel free to make that request here.
