$2 - $5 depending on how much groceries I have. If I have just a few groceries then I tip 2 bucks...if I have alot usually 4 or 5 bucks.

I put other. 1) depends on the bagger. 2) amount I have. usually one cart i give 1-2 bucks. 2 or more carts then anywhere from 3-5 bucks
when I am at "home" i give more because they will unload your groceries from your cart, to the belt for you..

I usually tip $2. If I have a ton of stuff then I tip more. On my regular weekly trips though it is usually $1-$2 depending on how much stuff I have.

I put $3-$5, thats how much I tip when I do my regular grocery shopping, but if I just go to get a few things then its less.

if i have a lot of groceries i'll tip around $5 but other than that about $3. I wish i could give them more because I know they work for tips but sometimes it just isn't going to happen.:dunno

Depends on how many groceries I bought. The most I ever gave was $10. It was a few days before Christmas & my dh had just gotten home from his last deployment so I was in a giving mood.

No commissary baggers do not get paid hourly wage (it says on their name tags they only work for tips). So the only way they make any money is from whatever ppl tip them. Where in a regular store a bagger is paid, hired, employees.

I tip what I believe to be a good amount since I get alot when I go. I was just there yesterday and I got 2 grocery carts. Well, one didn't have that much cause it had both boys, Evan in the carrier. I tipped her 5. I tipped 7 one time cause I had to park far away, had a bunch of groceries, and it was case lot sale day. I knew she was probably going to be pulling her hair out that day so I wanted to make part of it good. Oh it was also pay day and the 3rd was on Sunday so Social Security was paid that day, too. I knew it would be a craaaaazy day for her.

At ours there is a huge sign over the cash registers that they work for tips only. I've talked to alot of the ones here and they tend to be spouses of AD or retired military, high school aged kids of AD or retired, or retired themselves.

they are not DECA workers, that is also why they can't go into the store to replace items. ( found that out one day :mumble) they get no wage, they work for tips only.. but most of the time they can set their own days and hours.

I voted $1-$3. Sometimes though it is more if I have a lot of stuff.

I used to tip .50 per bag until we moved here. The individual bagger doesn't keep his/her tips. They get pooled together and divided which really irritates me. I now only tip up to $4. I know that sounds awful, but I can't believe that they have to do that with their tips. I've had some really great baggers and then I've had some awful baggers. Why should the great bagger get penalized for nothing and the bad bagger get a boosted tip? I think they should be able to keep their own tips (IMO).

depends on what I spend and if they carry out. If I spend over 100.00 I tip 5.00. If I spend over 150.00 I tip more......it really does also depend on the amount of bags.

I'm a pretty good tipper and don't mind.

i don't normally shop at the commy anymore BUT....i usually only tip if the person is fairly old or it's gross out. i don't like not being able to take my own cart without the disgruntled looks and mumbles

Yesterday I accidentally tipped my bagger $8 instead of the $4 I thought I gave her. Apparently I gave her a $5 and two dollar bills instead of three ones :duh

this is new and wierd to me lol. i had NO clue you had to tip people at the commy, of course, i'm not married yet and don't live on base. but this is so wierd to me...where i shop, nobody tips, even if they take you cart out to the car for you.

Usually $3 if I have more than my normal or the bagger is extra friendly I might throw another buck or two their way ;)

If I spend over $100 (typical) I tip $5, anything under I generally tip $3. However, that is dependant on how big of a douche my bagger is. If they flip their cell open the moment we walk out of the store and gab the entire time they are loading my car, I'll hand them a dollar, if anything. You can at least say hello to me and acknowledge that I'm there paying for your wage. :lol

Anything under like $40 bucks I do myself, $40-$75 I tip like $3 and anything over $75 I just usually give an automatic $5
