[B]Krisha[B] I'm glad to hear your children are doing so good. I'm hopeing that everything over here will settle down soon. It's tough on them. Pictures of DH all over and a calender you countdown with help. Someone posted this. I am thinking about doing it for my kids.http://www.daddydolls.com/ Krisha 11-09-2007, 10:47 AM Awww! How old are they Krisha? Our oldest is almost 13, our middle is 8 and our youngest is 3. Krisha 11-09-2007, 10:50 AM I ordered the daddy dolls from another site but you can also get the iron on paper at Staples or even Walmart and put pictures on anything the kids would like such as pillow cases, tee shirts, bags. The options are endless. The kids and I are going to put a picture of the four of us on a pillow case and send it out to dh this weekend. I try to plan one thing to make or send to him each weekend and then plan to fun things each month to do. We're still fairly new to the area so we will be doing a lot of exploring over these many months. I dont understand. I feel oldschool. I love writing letters but email is nice too...especially cause i never get to hear anything from him :tears ya when my husband went out for their quals in june for a month, he didnt have his email set up either. i went two weeks without hearing one word from him. i had to email so many wives so that their husbands would help him. he was new also and didn't know how to do a thing! no one helps either, it sucks! finally after two weeks of me emailing wives and them telling their husbands to help my husband he got email set up! that was the longest two weeks ok my life! now he's back out again but thank goodness he was prepared this time. hang in there!! or if you can talk to any of the wives, maybe they can get ahold of their husbands and they can help your man. hang in there! i know it's hard!:hehe Traci 11-10-2007, 06:47 AM Our oldest is almost 13, our middle is 8 and our youngest is 3. This means you also. It's not just for the Truman. Anyone who's SO is deployed. A few of us are working to get it set up. In about a week or so it should be going. Don't know how or what but it will be going.:lol http://www.militarysos.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112554&highlight=deployment+support+group Taressa 11-10-2007, 11:17 AM Thanks. i am just having a rough go right now, routine we need to get into a routine, and the kids didn't have school monday or tuesday and it threw me off completely! plus i am sick right now i am not sure what is going on but i have a head cold and could just sleep all day long, but lsat night he called and made my day, he also has sent some awesome pictures!! this is hard because our first set of deployments we had never done shore duty before, so him coming and going was all we knew, and our marriage was young and insecure and we faught a lot when he was home, then we went to shore duty, and both grew up and matured and our marriage is much stronger, and he is my best friend, so i really miss him, where when we were in Bremerton he wasn't, he was kinda nasty. LOL anyway i am coming around, trying to be active but its so dang cold around here right now, i dont' want to go outside.. We are not doing too well around here. My poor twins, they are only 17 months and they go around the house looking for him, calling his name, it is the sadest thing to see because they just have NO CLUE that he is gone for the next 7 months, that is a lifetime to a baby!! ChiliCat 12-06-2007, 05:31 AM I'm the weirdo who's actually handling it alright... Traci 12-06-2007, 06:08 AM I'm the weirdo who's actually handling it alright... Your not alone. I am the same way.
