so I am getting married on Tuesday. While he has been in the army for two years he doesnt know how long it will take for my insurance to go into affect. Does anyone know how long it will be before I can see a doctor?

Does anyone know how long it will be before I can see a doctor? sandykay 11-09-2007, 01:20 AM ok, take the wedding certificate to deers, and get enrolled, then inroll in tricare, I think it should only take 30 days for it to all go through, but just call benificary support to check with them, they'll be able to tell you for sure sandykay 11-09-2007, 01:21 AM Good luck with the marriage part too. Congrats Chandalier 11-09-2007, 01:23 AM When I enrolled in TriCare, it was effective the 1st of the following month - they told me that if I really needed to see a doctor, though, that I could make an appointment on base and just bring in a copy of the enrollment papers. I don't know if everyone does that or not, though. MelissaMc424 11-09-2007, 01:24 AM If you're enrolled before the 20th of the month, it's effective immediately. If it's after the 20th, it's effective the first of the following month. You'll need your social, and marriage certificate to get on DEERS.. then go to Tricare.. Best of luck to you and your DF :D Mosley04 11-10-2007, 10:05 AM well, with the insurance, i signed up by the 20th of september and it wasnt effective till the 1st of october. same with dental. signed up by the 20th of octobe0r and it was effective on nov. 1. good luck on your wedding and everything!!!!! |
