I don't have glasses or contacts so I don't know. I would call tricare and ask

Nooope. They are the biggest pain in the rear when it comes to vision. They cover one eye exam per year.

Nope. : ( It is most sad! There's a short list of exceptions to that that include having eye damage because of surgery and *serious* eye problems like keratoconus...but...outside of that. No.

Just the yearly eye exam. Some places will give a military discount, like Lens Crafters. :)

It's ridiculous. : / The boy and I both have vision issues! They get glasses, at least, though. Not spouses though...what do they need to see for?!

I have always had to shell out the moola for eyecare.. EXCEPT my son who has all of his eyecare on post. He has had two eye surgeries though and does not need glasses.

nope no coverage for contacts- not the exam nor the contacts-
and once you have a RX it is easy to go to the eye dr and ask them to carry them in stock- and then all you have to do is go in and get them as you need them.

I've never gotten coverage for contacts. I've went in and gotten an eye exam for my glasses and contacts. I didn't pay for the exam for my eye glasses but then everything else I paid for.
