I'm trying to plan how far in advance to send care packages to Iraq, and I have no idea how long it takes for care packages to be delivered :arg This is our first deployment :( Any ideas will help :yes Take care ladies

it all depends on the size of it usually. If youa re sending him a christmas box you need to send it the first week of december becuase thats what th epost office recommends. I sent two halloween boxes that were smaller and it took only a week but I sent a bigger one along with them and that one took almost 3. It also takes longer if you insure it becuase it has to go through more customes to make sure it hasnt been tampered with. they say the flat rate boxes are taking 7 to 10 days right now. But again it all depends so allow atleast 2 weeks but for christmas a month. Hope that helps. If you have any more questions ask away

Depends on where he is. My record to Northern Iraq has been 5 days! :cp It's usually 7-10 days though.

Yep, my boxes have so far arrived to him almost exactly 1 week after i mailed them. he's at al asad, which is a really really big base though, so smaller FOB's might take longer

cool dude! DB was at Al Asad for part of last deployment. I wear my Al Asad hat like everyday :nerd

mine usually take about a week but during christmas you have to send it almost a month ahead of time
