he can have one, but it depends where he is going, it could very well not work at all. that was what happened to my db , so he just sent it home

mine had one when he was in pensacola, that's pretty much the main way we kept in touch cause every time i ever tried to call the barracks it was busy.

I believe so, but I guess it all depends. I mean here in Pensacola they have a cell phone stand or whatever set up right outside of the NEX across from the school.

My DH had one at ATT at Great Lakes and at Oceana... They just aren't allowed to have them on during class, muster, etc.

My dh had his at dam neck just couldn't have it one during class.

My guy went to Great Lakes, and he had one. We never had any problems with it.
