how long does it take?? to the green zone it takes 2 weeks!

My hubby's up there too & it takes about 4-5 days at the most.

Mail coming to me from him takes about two weeks. You wonder why it takes so much longer to get stuff out of there than it does to get it in!

I'm waiting for DH to have an address to send to. How long does it normally take? He is arriving in Kuwait tomorrow.

my lil bro is also in N Iraq & i sent him 2 boxes the friday before veteran's day by parcel post & he had one of them the following friday! i was shocked. haven't heard that he got the 2nd one yet tho.

it take bd 7-10 days to get my letters and me it seems takes 2-3 weeks to get anything form him.

It depends... My brother stayed in Kuwait for about 2 weeks before going to his base in Iraq.. DB was only in Kuwait for about 4 days. I hope you get an address soon!! :hugs

I mailed him Christmas packages on the
5th & 6th. He's already got one on Sunday. How is everyone doing? It is such a sucky thing having them gone for the holidays. What do you have planned?

Hi There. We keep bumping into each other today. LOL My hubby & I agreed before he left to be honest w/ each other. So, I tell him the bad stuff here & he tells me the bad stuff there. We are 100% honest w/ each other. A lot of guys shut down, so even though it is scary for you to hear the bad stuff, be happy he feels close enough to you to lean on you & be honest. I think so many soldiers shut down & then when they get back they have a hard time. How are you doing since he's only been gone a short time?

Thank you! I am doing alright. It's been a month today since we had R & R with 11 or so left for him to come back for good. It's not easy but we stay in touch about ever 3-4 days I hear from him and I write him everyday. We just try to do the best we can and when we are together we enjoy it as much as we can also.

Because everything that is sent out of Iraq is throughly inspected. The stuff going in is looked at, but more like looked over. DH burnt a CD of pics & video he'd taken while he was there. It took 3 weeks to get it. And some were blacked out.
