im 23...I have no marketable skills! im a mommy and a wife. i dont know what i want to do with my life! i love being a mommy dont get me wrong but i have no education beyond that of a high schooler.

what do i want to do with my life? i dont know...i don tknow how to find out what i wan tto do with my life. i dont want to just go to school just to go. i like having an objective and looking forward to it. with out knowing what i want to do i cant be sucessful in school!

what do i want to do?

how did you decide what you wanted to be when you grew up?

im so confused!!:confuzzle

i decided what i wanted to be when i was about four.

i wanted to be a wife and a mommy.

but im expected to do MORE than that. (unfortunately if you say you just want to spend your life being a SAHM people think you are 'settling' and not 'living up to your full potential' ... dumbasses)
so i decided i wanted to be a kindergarten teacher. im good at teaching. i like kids. and its the closest job out there that is like being a mom that isnt a daycare provider or preschooler (they dont pay as well and if im going to work, i want more money!)

luckily DB wants me to be a SAHM once we have kids
and he could care less if i go to college.
so im in it right now... but once we get married, ill stop going to go live wherever his duty station is and then go back once he goes himself.

I was in grade 6 when I told my mom I wanted to go into the fashion industry, it's taken a while, but I'm getting there

I thought I was going to be a doctor til my freshmen year of college. Now I'm an English major and there are 5 trillion things I want to do with my life. I'm just taking it year by year since a lot of my post grad decisions will depend on what DB and I decide to do.

Pick something you're passionate about and/or do relatively well. You can major in something broad (if going back to school is what you're doing for sure) and it can lead to a bunch of job opportunities.

I have always wanted to help people and teach music. I am a SaHM right now but I know that this is not for me. Ladies, if you are happy with being a SaHM, I APPLAUD you!!! This is just so hard for me and I love to earn that paycheck. I have a BS in Social Work but no bites in the work industry. But I do teach music to 4th and 5th graders at church! And I do help out whereever someone needs me....I guess I am living out my goals on a small level. SaHM---Don't let anyone say you don't work!!! We have a job that pays nothing, costs money to do, and never has a vacation! But it is the most rewarding. LOVE YA!

i'm still not completely sure of what i wanna be when i grow up. right now i'm passionate about accounting because i took some classes and that was what i excelled at and had fun with. i think you just have to get out there and try some things. when i went back to school it was more like a hobby, i'm trying to make the shift to be more goal oriented now... that's hard. i say just indulge in what you are interested in and the goals will come.
