My boyfriend just left for Boot Camp 3 days ago. I cant wait for a letter or some form of communication with him. i was wondering how long you ladies had to wait for a letter.

i got one about a week after the got there. but i started writing him the first night. I kinda did it like a journal every night....just vented and told him my feelings. He would get a packet every week and cried himself reading the first bunch....they were very sad!

Week 1 I gotmy 'welcome to the family packet', but i wrote to him from day one!

well, i didnt have to even wait a week for a letter...........but i didnt get to write him until like 2 weeks after he was gone. i got like 2 phone calls the first week, but i missed one of them, but after he actually"started boot camp" i didnt get a call until like 3 weeks later. hope this helps.

The AF usually gets to call home from Basic on day 4.
